About Svents
What Svents is
Svents (svents.com) is an entertainment publication with live-event listings underneath it. It replaces StungEvents (stungevents.com), which stays online until the move to svents.com is complete.
Svents does not sell tickets. When a listing has a ticket link, the link goes to an outside seller or organizer, and you buy from them. See the affiliate disclosure.
Svents is published in English. A language is added only when original local content exists for it.
Who runs it
Svents is published by Chronic Internet LLC, which Steve Monas founded in March 2019 and runs from Kauai, Hawaii. Steve Monas is the editor, and every Svents article carries his byline.
How it works
Listings. Event data comes from outside event sources. Our ingest software collects it every 10 minutes, merges duplicate listings of the same event, lists an event only when it has a ticket or event link, and retires an event 12 hours after it starts.

Articles. Articles are written from source data and cited to their sources. Before an article is published, every quote, number and fact in it is checked against the source it cites, and the article is blocked if any claim cannot be found there. See the editorial policy and how we use AI. As of this page's last update, no articles have been published.
